Shri Gulam Ali Khatana is an Indian politician, social activist, and entrepreneur from the Gujjar Muslim community of Jammu and Kashmir. He is serving as a Nominated Member of the Rajya Sabha since September 2022, nominated by the President of India for his contributions to social work. An electrical engineer by profession, he graduated from the Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu. Gulam Ali played a crucial role in the establishment of GCET and has been instrumental in advocating for the rights of marginalized communities, particularly the Gujjar and Bakerwal tribes. He serves as Secretary and Spokesperson of the BJP Jammu & Kashmir unit and has extensive experience working with the RSS and Muslim Rashtriya Manch, focusing on communal harmony and social welfare. He maintains 100% attendance in Rajya Sabha and actively participates in parliamentary committees on Energy, ICT Management, and Government Assurances.
