Last Day of The Grand Spiritual Fest & More Than 1.18 Crore Devotees Participated in Amrit Snan on Maha Shivratri
The month-long celebration of Maha Kumbh, one the world’s largest religious gatherings, comes to a grand conclusion on Wednesday on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. Devotees assembled at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh for the final Amrit Snan (sacred bath) during the concluding day of Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, which began on 13th January.
The grand spectacle of Mahakumbh Mela 2025 has arrived at an end, but it has left a fragrance of devotion, spirituality, and moments of timeless reminiscence. 66.7 crores pilgrims, saints, and tourists came to the sacred confluence to participate in this one-of-a-kind event that occurs once every 144 years.

Among several notable activities of the Kumbh Mela 2025, the Shahi Snan was the most anticipated with holy men belonging to different akharas performing the ritual bathing. The gaudy avatars flashed by the Nagas, one of the most esteemed sects of Sadhus, as they swanked their way to the riverbanks!
These saints and gurus and nearly a thousand plus devotees who were all thronging towards the holly stream were steer-stirringly soothing.

The experience for many travellers who fulfilled their pilgrimage by participating in the Mahakumbh 2025 festival was deeper spirituality than merely a religious duty; they were on their way to salvation. On the very day when it is the only opportunity to get rid of the cycle of life and death by taking a bath in one of the holy rivers, the final day was truly unique.
Devotees' participation began with the prayers and "Havan" or fire rituals which were followed by others to give food and clothes to the needy as well as to the poor, with their main objective being divine blessings and inner peace.
Even the top Indian & international businessmen & celebrities did not miss the chance to be a part of such an opportunity. Thus we saw VVIPs & VIPs like PM Modi, President Murmi, CM Yogi Adityanath, Business tycoons Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. Bollywood stars like Anupam Kher, Rajkummar Rao, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vicky Kaushal & Katrina Kaif, Rajkummar Rao, Kailash Kher, hema Malini and many more were among the visitors. Internationals celebs like Laurene Powell Jobs, (wife of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs), Chris Martin & Dakota Johnson also took the opportunity to attend the event.

The last day of Mahakumbh Mela 2025 was a day of deep devotion and scheduled powerful rituals. The sun brought new life to the holy rivers, and thousands of devotees who took the final sacred bath in the Triveni Sangam—the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati felt the rebirth of their souls.
A lot of people thought that this was the final Shahi Snan, the kings' bath, this would cleanse their sins and take them to the spiritual level of enlightenment.
